A Conversation on Racism
After years of studying leading scholars on racism, such as Layla Saad, Ibram X. Kendi, Robin DiAngelo, and Paul Kivel, Pittsburgh Pathworkers Against Racism, a group of Whites concerned about racism, have come to realize that to expect people of color to educate Whites is unfair and a burden.
The group’s deep dive has caused them to face the historical and current racist conditions that exist in our financial, educational, political, and health care systems.
They now want to share this heartrending message for other Whites and invite you to join them as:
- Each of the nine-member group speaks for five minutes about how they have been most moved and impacted by their studies
- A guided discussion is led that will include looking deeply at biases and beliefs, cultivating compassionate awareness, and thoughts about taking responsibility

Where: Persad Center at 5301 Butler Street, Suite 100, Pittsburgh, PA 15201 (Lawrenceville)
