How can Acceptance possibly change our life and our experience? Are we to accept bad things, settle for things we don’t like, or give up our desires?

Well, yes and no! That’s what we will explore together. In this workshop, you will have a chance to…

  • Identify the part of you that fights against this “great act” and feel how it keeps you in tension and fear. This is the painful state of duality at the root of all suffering.
  • Understand why Acceptance, with its potential for change, is so threatening to you.
  • Recognize your inner pull to another state of being the Unitive state of love, freedom, connection to Spirit.
  • Give up your fight against life’s imperfections and your own – and open to the deep spiritual movement of Acceptance and its healing potential.

“Healing requires a deep…relaxation of the entire human system in order to connect with the ever-present divine healing currents that penetrate all that is. [But] a system that is defended against anything – human experience such as pain, suffering, death, or one’s feelings of rage and bitterness… is in a state of tension and therefore unable to heal itself.”

This workshop, offered by Lorraine Marino, is open to individuals who are familiar with Pathwork, have done any of the lecture study offerings or classes, and/or work with a Pathwork Helper – and are eager to learn. There will be a maximum of 18 participants. Closer to the workshop, Lorraine will provide lectures to read and preparatory questions.

Lorraine Marino is a “Helper’s Helper” who primarily teaches and works with other helpers and leaders in the U.S., Canada, and Europe. She recently taught the Pittsburgh Regions’ Helpership program and continues to support the new helpers as their supervisor.
